“Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths.” Psalm 25:4

In the last 16 days I have been focusing on praying in the P.R.A.I.S.E format. Praising, repentance, acknowledgment, intercession, supplication for self, and equipping. If you are interested in learning more about this format read Whispers of a Hope, By: Beth Moore.

Words cannot express the power, humility, emotion. I have felt while praying every morning. God is powerful. He is faithful. He is answering prayers and revealing Himself to those I’ve been interceding for. If you do not believe in the power of prayer I encourage you to start and see for yourself how powerful praying is. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it! John 14:13-14

If you’re not praying, reading, seeking God everyday. I encourage you to make time. In this busy world we tend to forget about God and begin to put Him last. Put God first and you will see how different you will begin to feel. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33

Anything meant in this world for evil, God can use for good. God is able to take the mess of our past and turn it into a message. He takes our trials and tests and turns them into a testimony.” ~Christine Cain

When I completely gave God full control of my life. He began to heal me and restore everything that I had lost. He changed me. I remember praying and asking God to “Use Me!” Before I would’ve never asked because I felt like God wouldn’t use me. That was a lie from the enemy! God can and will use you if you let Him! You are worth more than you think.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit–fruit that will last–and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. John 15:16

Break Every Chain

Psalm 107:10-22
10 Some sat in darkness and deepest gloom, imprisoned in iron chains of misery.
11 They rebelled against the words of God, scorning the counsel of the Most High.
12 That is why he broke them with hard labor; they fell, and no one was there to help them.
13 “Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
14 He led them from the darkness and deepest gloom; he snapped their chains.
15 Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.
16 For he broke down their prison gates of bronze; he cut apart their bars of iron.
17 Some were fools; they rebelled and suffered for their sins.
18 They couldn’t stand the thought of food, and they were knocking on death’s door.
19 “Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
20 He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death.
21 Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.
22 Let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and sing joyfully about his glorious acts.

If I had not found encouragement in your law, I would have died in my sorrow. Psalm 119:92

I want to tell you that God has the power to break the chains that have you bound. I don’t know where you stand in your life right now. If you’re bound by depression, fear, addiction, negativity, anxiety, anger, whatever it may be. God can and will free you if you let Him. I used to be bound I felt like I was drowning, gasping for air, I couldn’t breathe. I lived in a dark place. I couldn’t handle my life anymore the way I felt weighed me down. I hit rock bottom before I let God come in and change me. I do not want that for you. Don’t wait. God will take you as you are and save you. He will bring complete healing and restoration to your life. Be free today! I am praying for you. You have not been forgotten. You are loved. You have a purpose. You have a calling on your life. Live today!

January 10th is a very special day. Today is my Mother’s birthday. I’m blessed to have her. I love her. I’m ready to celebrate with her tonight! Happy Birthday Mom! God bless you with many more years of life.

Today is also my anniversary. Today I have been married for 5 years. 5 months ago I wasn’t sure if my husband and I would make it to this day! By the grace of God here we are today. Falling in love more and more each day. God has been with us every step of the way restoring our marriage.

If you’re struggling in your marriage don’t give up! FIGHT! The enemy is out destroying families don’t let him! Seek God, cry out for help.

Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12

“I will praise the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praises to my God with my dying breath.” Psalm 146:2

I woke up today thanking God for all He is and all He does. I have so many things that I’m thankful for. Even when I have a bad day I’m still thankful because I know that God is with me making a way even though I can’t see it.

This world is full of chaos, trouble, disappointment, evil, depression, fear, and so many are lost in the darkness this world offers. “Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” John 8:12

I’ve met so many people that long for something to fill them they feel like they are missing something . They turn to the world and end up getting lost they’re never filled! I’ve felt this way before! I was so lost. I knew the way out but it was so hard for me to escape the darkness!

I want to tell you today that God can and will fill your emptiness.
“Call on Me in a day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor Me.”
Psalm 50:15

“As I walk through the darkness, You are there with me. Casting out fear. Lord let your light shine brighter.”

I’m praying for you. I may not know you by name but God does. I encourage you to seek Him everyday! Trust Him!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

New Year

From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:2

Sometimes circumstances happen, tragedies, death in families, financial struggle, problems in marriages, my list could go on. I used to question God and ask “Why”. I wouldn’t ask nicely. I was angry and I was so close minded, even if God was answering me I didn’t notice.

God has come into my life and He has changed me completely, the way I think, see, and feel are different. The year 2013 has passed believe me when I say in 2013 I experienced heartache, confusion, tragedy. In all of this God was with me showing me who He is. Everyday he was with me even on the days I didn’t want Him around.

Somedays I felt like I didn’t have anymore strength but here I stand today.”Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him.” Psalm 105:4 — The year 2014 has come and I am prepared for what God has in store for my family and I. I will not question Him. I will put my trust fully in Him. I will be obedient. I will not worry.

I know that God has a plan for my family, friends, and everyone around me. It is up to you to decide if you want a relationship with God; until then will you truly live. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

“So you should earnestly desire the most helpful gifts. But now let me show you a way of life that is best of all.” 1 Corinthians 12:31

As I grow spiritually I’m amazed that I learn something new everyday. I’ve read before and been taught for many years. I’ve gone to church since I was very little. I never got it like I do now. I believe that a big part of why I have new found eyes is because God is changing me, I’ve had to go through a process and somedays weren’t easy. I’m still working on bad habits that I have that I need to break free of but I’m working at it everyday! Everyday it’s getting easier. Joyce Meyer says “We should have an excellent attitude and desire in every situation to do the best we can do, and then trust God to do what we cannot do.” I’ve changed the way I do things the way that I think. When negative thoughts arise I close them off quickly otherwise I will be overtaken by them. I will not live in darkness ever again! “And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” Philippians 4:8 — There is always more that we can do for ourselves and for others. Let us not be complacent. We can change the world! “I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Philippians 3:12-14 —

God Made Me

“You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. John 15:16

I was getting ready yesterday, looking for what I was going to wear. I put on an outfit I felt like it didn’t fit right, tried something else on I didn’t like it I did this a couple of times. I would stand in front of my full length mirror each time and look at myself with disgust! I didn’t feel like myself while I was doing this. I began to pray and ask God to take these negative thoughts from my mind. I went to my closet and pulled out my CHOSEN shirt that I bought at a women’s retreat. I put it on and looked in the mirror and I was happy! I told myself I have been chosen, God made me, He knew me before I was even born! I used to have a major problem with insecurity and self confidence. I was bound by this for many years! The enemy knows and still tries to put thoughts of negativity in my mind! I am no longer bound and I will stand strong!”I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14 — I used to wear a lot of make-up to cover my face. I used to feel like I needed expensive shoes and clothes. At times I used to feel like I had to skip meals to drop weight, or when I was stressed out feel like I had to eat everything in sight. I wanted to look like the models I saw in magazines and on tv. When I saw myself I would feel disgusted, I was not happy with who I was! Today I tell you that I am no longer bound, God has shown me who I am. I’m not perfect thoughts still come to my mind but when they do I pray and remind myself who I am.

“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!” Psalm 139:13-18

If you’re feeling this way I want to remind you that God loves you. He is waiting on you to call Him for help. Let Him free you today!
